60 Day Challenge-Day 4

Hello Everyone,

As you can see it’s day four of my 60 day challenge and here’s the latest. I have made it a point of mine to keep plowing forward on my forum visits. It’s getting kind of interesting as I’m starting to see a lot more movement from these areas. They really do work when you are a valuable contributor to them. I really want to emphasize that point. As I shared on yesterday, that it’s not about pimping your site as one of my mentors, Mr. Alex Jeffreys says, but it’s about caring more about what you can do to help them instead of yourself.

When you approach things this way, you definitely have an entirely different mindset. Understand that there is a new breed of marketers being raised up and they get the concept of GIVING first and receiving later. Yes, I do get it that this route may be a little slower than some would like, but it is the best route for you for the long term. You do want to be around for awhile right? Well, this approach works and it will soon build great momentum for you. Just think, afterwhile you’ll have others starting to spread the word for you and you will now be in a position to have serious leverage from their efforts. One of my other mentors, Dean Holland started out this exact way, and now look at what we’re doing. We are writing about how this has changed his life and business and when you are helping people learn the ropes of marketing, so to speak, they will begin writing about you.

You will in a sense redeem the time that you thought was taking you so long to get to your point of success.

Is it simple? Yes. Is it easy, not really because it takes something that most of us don’t have and that’s patience. We as a society want things right now. We don’t want to wait until tomorrow or next week, we want it now. I got to be honest with you, I would love for things to be here and now, but the fact of the matter is, that’s not reality. That’s a pipe dream that some slick guru marketer have sold you that just aint gonna happen. Not as fast as they say it will with this push button cash machine making a 100k in 3 months nonsense. You get my drift. We want to run a real and legitimate business and my friend, those take time.

Haven’t you heard the expression that anything worth having is worth fighting for? Well, I’ll add to that and it’s that anything worth having is worth waiting for. We have our whole lives ahead of us and we will get there one day at a time.

Ok. Back to my challenge. As I mentioned, traffic is getting a whole lot better, even over this weekend which is kinda surprising to me. I updated my site just a little to include some social sharing buttons. You can see those to your left. I also added a contact me page just in case you want to get in touch with me. I don’t know why I haven’t had this on my site before, but nevertheless it’s better late than never. I actually got this idea from one of my challenge partners, Mr. Craig and I thought it was a no-brainer for me to add one. You see, I can see a great idea when I come across one and there is no shame in implementing it from my perspective. We can learn from others just as easily as others can learn from us. I’m sure some have stole a couple of my ideas (wink, wink) too. But that’s cool.

So our challenge is going forward and we’re excited for one another. We have a ways to go and step by step, we’ll get there. If you’re reading this and you would like to join us, feel free to tap on one of those banners and let’s get you rolling. Also, leave me some feedback or a quick comment and let me know that you’re keeping up with me. Be sure and pass the message along to some of your friends as well by accessing the social sharing buttons to your left there. Every little bit helps and I appreciate it very much.  Thanks so much!

  • Great post Jerry, it’s great to see your progress 🙂

You’re right, we often want things right now and this can make things difficult at times. But the consistent groundwork we put in now will pay dividends down the line 🙂

Yep saw you on the wf lol. But also a student of alex jeffries. The challenge caught my eye also have one on my site and it also did a lot for my site. I like your ideas so far and the funny thing is that I first did the same two things you did to get traffic (the warrior forum) and (blogs)

I recommend comment love to you because you get a chance to leave your twitter username (on those that are upgraded) and also a link to your last post. You can easily add the free version here like I did at cmkoch.biz.

I start visiting sites that had the comment love plug in and boy oh boy. Try it out.

Do you have comment love already installed if so it might not be working right

  • Wow Claire, thanks for the update on that little bug. I’ll look into that. Also welcome to the AJ group. I don’t believe I’ve seen you before but you are in an awesome place. I don’t have the comment luv but ill look into that as well. Appreciate the feedback.

  • Claire, I looked into your suggestion and as you can see, I think it will be awesome. Thanks for the tip.

  • Hey Jerry, I got a page not found 404 error when I clicked through from the Facebook Group but managed to find this post from your recent post list.

I happened to notice what Claire said about CommentLuv. Some marketers are uninstalling the plugin as they fear they will lose Google rank due to too too much link juice going out to other sites.

There has been a lot of talk about it on various blogs. It’s hard to know what to do about it but some of he bloggers I respect are still using it so I am too.

    • Thanks for the comment Sandy. I really appreciate it. To be honest I used to value the google ranking system a while back, but now it’s so changes that are happening with them that it’s really hard to tell which way to go. I also used to try and write my articles based on the right key words, tags , h1, h2 stuff for optimization, but I’ve decided to write for the reader. If I get the kind of content out there for them, and they share it , what does it really matter with rankings. I’m with you , I’m gonna keep it as you can see.
