60 Day Challenge-Week 3
It’s been a few days since I posted any updates to my blog. I did that for a good reason and it’s simply been an observation on my part. I thought for a few minutes about how I was posting everyday for the last eighteen or so days and what kind of production I was getting done in the background. I mean, it’s cool and all to keep you up to date on everything, but it’s a lot of stuff I need to get done behind the scenes so to speak.
So from here on out until the end of the challenge, I will be posting weekly updates. It serves a two-fold purpose. One being, if gives my readers an opportunity to see the post for a week in stead of a day or so as they tend to trickle down toward the bottom of my blog and they don’t necessarily get a chance to see and comment on it. Secondly as I mentioned, there are a few projects that I have in the works that I must complete. One of them being my video series I’m putting together.
All in all, I hope everyone understands where I’m shooting from as the intent is to make everything run a little better and smoother. My first thoughts on this challenge was to post daily to keep me in the groove of posting, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it doesn’t serve you or I very well. Plus, I’ve got a lot of things going on outside of work and home that has occupied some of my time too. Can somebody say BALANCE? That’s very vital and important if you wan to maintain a healthy life and business.
Now, as to the challenge, as I mentioned previously, I’m liking the progress we’re making with lead generation and exposure. I’m starting to get a few more visitors peeping in on me which is a great sign. Considering where I started about three weeks ago with the challenge, I would say we’ve picked up an additional two hundred or so visitors which is pretty cool. Back in January, I put myself through a personal challenge to increase my visitors and fell short. This challenge has given me a bit of a boost from what I can tell and it means that I should keep doing what I’m doing.
Well, you might be saying “Hey, where’s all the money?” Good question and my answer is if there is no traffic, there is no money. It’s definitely not the other way around my friends. That’s the key. Work on traffic, traffic, traffic and then allow your blog to convert them to leads, and leads are converted to sales. That’s the formula for online success.
I gotta admit something to you though. Free traffic generation methods are slow going. It requires a lot of your time, energy, effort and consistency to really make it grow. It’s fine, but it is extremely slow. If anyone tells you otherwise is simply straight up lying to you. Now it has proven to work for me as I ‘ve made a sale since we started, but of course not what I would have liked to have seen.
So, we march on. The journey is still far from over and we’ll at least make it to the finish line.
I was on a conference call the other day with one of my mentors and we have to special things lined up and planned for the group that I believe will be very helpful. I’m so looking forward to tapping into it and utilizing it to the fullest, but in the meantime, I gotta get my grind on.
Take care and we’ll talk soon.
