So, I’m done. I’m done with being that buyer that just throw my hard earned money at this and that and I am going to run a REAL business. Online of course, but I am going to treat like it’s an offline business worth millions of dollars. I will be accountable to you my friends. You will see my new journey unfold right before your eyes. I will make frequent updates to the this blog so that you can see my ups, downs, successes as well as failures. I will be an internet success story because I know that I am capable of doing it. I make a decision right now to be a person of integrity and class. To bring to this space a caring and responsive spirit to the world of the entrepreneur.
If you look back, you’ll see my past post. I gotta admit, some of it was doing some of the dumb things that some of my previous mentors told me to do which now, I believe may have been a little misleading. At first I thought about just deleting all of those post, but then I decided to leave them up so that you would have something to reference and see the huge paradigm shift that I made for the better. This blog actually refers to empower entrepreneurs and the only way that I can do that is that I must be EMPOWERED. That’s the path that I have chosen today. I choose to do it RIGHT now and submit myself to being a follower of a great leader and mentor of mine. I will share with you in the coming days who I’ve partnered with that will be one of the guys responsible for opening my eyes to how all of this stuff works. Stay tuned!
P.S.-Feel free to leave your comments below if you are in the same boat as I am. Maybe we can jump on this journey together.
Marketing is not only something that you should do, but it’s something that you must do in any business endeavor. Without the proper marketing functionalities going forth, you are almost guaranteed to fail whether your plans were for the short term or the long term. It should be one of the first things that is planned if there is any intent to be successful in business.
So many people think they can’t afford to market, but the bottom line is, you can’t afford not to. Whether you want to call it advertising or promotional, it still boils down to getting the word out. It can be either in print, news media, radio, or post cards, it’s all marketing. It’s just a matter which terminology floats your boat. Some entrepreneurs or business people have chosen to bring their products and services online, which is not a bad idea. But, there is a slight if not a huge learning curve to understanding the ins and outs of how the online world functions.
It’s a simple process, but not always easy to do. It requires focused and intense learning to really get it right. Just putting a website is not the end of journey, but just the beginning. Now comes the hard part of getting the targeted traffic to your site, and not just get them there, but knowing how to convert them into either sales or leads.
Just visiting your site is great, but if there is no way to continue follow up with that visitor, you’re at a disadvantage when all that was necessary was to have a way to capture their contact information. A savvy webmaster can ensure that those types of things are in place. You don’t want to waste your efforts because sometimes it could have been paid traffic through pay per click campaigns that brought them there. That’s a whole other subject, but one that should be visited soon if not already.

Meebo has been around in Silicon Valley for seven years, starting off with a site that let users chat with each other across different instant message services — then becoming a social toolbar, and ad platform and much more. Now it’s joining its Mountain View neighbor to the east, Google.[Update: See our followup post for more info — we’ve confirmed the amount, the focus of the product team within Google, and the sales and marketing layoffs.]
The company confirmed the sale today in a post on the company blog, after we reached out due to a tip.
We are happy to announce that Meebo has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Google!
For more than seven years we’ve been helping publishers find deeper relationships with their users and to make their sites more social and engaging. Together with Google, we’re super jazzed to roll up our sleeves and get cracking on even bigger and better ways to help users and website owners alike.
We’ve had a blast building Meebo so far and we’re really excited to start the next leg of our journey.
Thank you all for coming along for the ride!
What was the price? We’re checking around, but All Things D had a source pegging it at $100 million a few weeks ago. The company has raised a total of $70 million over four venture rounds, according to the data we’ve tracked on CrunchBase. We heard today that the company has made some layoffs as part of the sale, but we haven’t gotten any confirmation back.
Meebo’s toolbar, which integrates chat and a variety of sharing features as well as ads, has also become a key way that it’s making money. All told, the site was getting around 100 million total users per month, according to a comScore report from last December. At that point, the company had just launched a new home site featuring a competitive sharing tool.
SevenPoint2 is a new company just launched in the fall of 2011 with it’s focus in the health and nutrition industry. The name SevenPoint2 was derived in a notion to emphasize the optimal PH of the human body of 7.2. Seemingly at this level the body is in an optimal state and no longer of an acidic nature. When the body is at this ph level, it is more resistant to sickness and disease.
Sevenpoint2 in a network marketing company based in Newport Beach California which has a mission of reaching 1,000,000 people with their message of great health and nutrition. It’s alkaline based products range from shakes to greens all in an effort to transition a person from the normal so called junk foods on the market to real organic foods that promote true health.
Always with new companies there comes new challenges and Sevenpoint2 is no different. The major challenge that it faces is that it is a young company trying to establish itself as well as it’s products. With new products, it will take time for the word to spread into the marketplace. The primary way that SevenPoint2 has decided to get the word out is through network marketing. Network Marketing is not a new terminology as there are several major companies that have decided to utilize this method of moving goods and services.
Because SevenPoint2 has opted to use this method, their initial desire would be to focus on experience marketers in this field who has the background and the expertise to help get them off the ground and out of the gate. That’s not always an easy task, but most companies in this field tend to do that. Think about it for a second, when a professional sports team’s goals are to win a championship in any arena, does it make since to put together a team of rookies or to go out and get experienced veterans? If you said veterans, you nailed it.
It just makes sense to opt for this method and is a very smart move. Most of the veterans have been around the industry for quite some time and have developed teams of people that can and will transition with them into the new company. SevenPoint2 challenge would be to ensure that the leaders are acclimated to their system and marketing plan right off the bat. Not too difficult since really only thing they need to become familiar with is to know the new product(s).
So is this company worth all the hype surrounding it? That all depends on your perspective of it and whether the products they are bringing to market are worthy of your evaluation and use. If you’re the type of person that has a strong interest in your health, particular in a healthy ph level, then it’s not just hype. SevenPoint2 has the leadership in place to educate their associates and ensure that they have the best knowledge to take to the market. But can the leadership be enough?
The right leadership in SevenPoint2 will implement new marketing strategies and techniques to be utilized by their representatives and if they don’t it will be business as usual. Business as usual because most of the network marketing companies to day continue to teach old and outdated training methods that just flat out doesn’t work for today’s new breed of entrepreneurs.
If SevenPoint2 wants it’s associates to have the best chance at success, they will have to espouse leadership development amongst the ranks. Development in their personal and business skills. It would be to their advantage to take an open minded approach to it’s longterm sustainability. That will come at a price that most of the representative may not be willing to pay.
If they are willing to pay the price of self improvement or development, not only will they benefit personally, but SevenPoint2 will take huge strides forward towards it’s primary goal of reaching 1,000,000 people in a very short time period. By accomplishing that huge goal, they will in turn attract huge droves of customers throughout the United States as well as other countries that are open to their vision.
Because SevenPoint2’s goal is success for their representative and customers, it will do the representatives well to be educated in their field. Since they are now business owners, they need to understand that they need to act and operate like real business owners. The cost to start this type of business is not in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but merely in the neighborhood of $100 to $1500 bucks. Sometimes when very little outlay has been paid into SevenPoint2 or any other company of this caliber, it’s not always taken seriously.
If you are a serious marketer, you need to think and act seriously. One must invest the necessary funds to become better at what it is that you are now a part of. Reading books, going to seminars, communicating with your sponsor is great, but is all of that really focusing on you as an entrepreneur? The primary focus for the SevenPoint2 rep should be you. When you focus on building your personal value, then and only then can you began to attract the proper potential prospects for your business. You can become the person that is being hunted instead of the old traditional ways of hunting people to join you.
If you’re that type of person and really want to take your SevenPoint2 business to the next level, I invite you to enter your email address below and learn what most of the top marketers in our generation are doing to attract endless amounts of leads and sign up hundreds of prospects into their business most of the times without even having to pick up the phone to do it.
