Rocking and rolling….

It’s Saturday evening here.  I’m about to fire up a new funnel that I just built pretty much from scratch.  Yes, i have a funnel in place, but it was one that was pretty much given to me to start out.  It’s cool and everything and I’m very appreciative for it.  As I mentioned before an earlier post that I wanted to be one that was an action taker.  Not one to make excuses, just get-er done.

So, that’s what I’m doing.  I’m getting her done.

It was time consuming, but once it’s been set up, the only thing that I need to do is tweak it.  By tweaking, I mean test, test and test some more.  You see, it’s likely that the first run may not yield the type of results that I desire.  Results like having better opt in rates, sales and conversion.  On top of that, I gotta track my metrics in my autoresponder as well.  I use Aweber and they have a pretty robust platform to keep track of the majority of that kind of stuff.

I also have implemented personal tracking on my optin “Thank You Page” and my Sales ” Thank You Page”.  This was important to me because I want to keep track of where my best results are coming from when I spend money on advertising.  Yep, free traffic is great when it comes, but if you want to take your business to the next level, I think you need to invest a little from time to time.

I believe it’s just the starter seed and later it can take on a life of it’s own.  I could be wrong, but I think it’s worth a shot.  Let me say this while I’m at it.  For those of you that may be reading this post and are not in a position to invest “real money” into your business right now, that’s o.k.  What you have to offer now is your time.  I’m not saying that I’m going to take food off of the table and put it into my business.  I’m going to use some discretionary funds that we have available to jump start everything and the hope is to make a profit to re-invest back into the business.

Well, that’s where I’m at now and I will keep you posted with the results.  Paid advertising can be a little tricky and that’s why you don’t start out with a lot of money while testing.  Start small and see what works is my philosophy as well as others.  Afterwards once everything is optimized, you can ramp up the funds now that you know your numbers.

I actually sharing this as if If I’ve seen the light and am telling you about it, but I haven’t.  I’ve learned this process and am now implementing it to see where it will take me.  In other words, I”M TAKING ACTION and not sitting on the sidelines.  I want to be a part of the game, so they gave me a uniform and called the plays AND put me in to execute.

Also, my goal of 1,000 visitors is still in tact.  I’m working that as well and have been consistently visiting niche hangouts and sharing valuable content there as well.  The traffic is coming daily, but as I said before, not like I would like to see it.  But nevertheless, it’s TRAFFIC.

Talk soon,

Jerry

Hey Jerry I love the post title and yes, as a matter of fact IT IS all about getting the ball rolling without fussing around too much, acting now!

As Alex Jeffreys mentioned in one of the modules, it’s not about getting it right, it’s about getting it done! Than as you say, tweak it and test it until optimal results but at least, get it out there!!

Believe me, in the meanwhile I am writing this comment I’m kinda repeating it to my own self, on and on, cause I’ve spent such a long time just thinking about the appearance of things instead of the actual essence…

    You are doing great!

Hey Jerry! Just read your post and it’s great to see you taking action. Sounds like you have everything in place tracking wise too, and I can’t agree with you more on the importance of that.

As Internet Marketers, we sometimes overlook the amazing resources we have to hand when it comes to testing, tweaking and tracking. Gone are the days of placing an add in the paper to sell something, never knowing if it would even be read, let alone knowing WHO read it, at what time and how many!

The ability to track your traffic and conversions is priceless and should NEVER be overlooked. Well done Jerry for getting it all in place.

Would love to hear from you and the results you get. Oh….and if your looking into paid traffic, I have some pretty good Solo Ad contacts that give really high quality traffic. My last ad placed got me a 58.7% opt in rate on my squeeze page! Let me know and I’ll mail you my list of good and bad so you know who to avoid!!

    Talk Soon,

    Andy

Andy, thanks for your feedback. Absolutely I would live to have some more great vendors in my arsenal. It’s hard to find good quality traffic and if you you’ve got some shoot them my way. As to the tracking that’s something I learned a long time ago especially on the Internet. It’s just too easy to track everything verses being offline. Now free traffic is a different story. But yes I’m just testing out a new capture page and offer and wanted to see how it would convert. So far it’s not performing very well. I think it was about 10% conversion on a 100 click solo. I’m about to run a split test and use it as control to get them up hopefully.
